Too Faced have an eyeshadow palette called the ‘Peanut Butter and Jelly’ palette and today, I am going to be talking about and fully swatching it.
Too Faced Peanut Butter Palette Description/Review
The Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette comes with 9 eyeshadows- 4 matte shades and 5 shimmer shades. Three of the shades are bigger than the rest, and contain 2.0 grams (0.07 ounces) of product and the other 6 shades contain 0.9 grams (0.03 ounces) of product, giving the palette a total of 11.4 grams (0.39 ounces) of product. The palette is made in the USA and has a shelf life of 12 months.
Brief Formula Analysis

I am going to briefly go over the formula of the shadows in the palette and then get into the swatches and swatch comparisons. Since all shadows have a slightly different formula with different sequences and arrangements except for the shades ‘Nuts About You’ and ‘Spread the Love’, it would take too long to go over each individual formula so I am going to cut it down to the important parts. In the future, I may do a full analysis of all formulas but as I said, I think that may get a little long for most people.
The Peanut Butter Palette is not fully vegan. Carmine is in 3 out of the 9 shades including Nuts About You, Spread the Love, and Jelly. This means that 6 out of the 9 shades are vegan and 3 out of the 9 shades are not vegan.
Too Faced doesn’t put many claims about the formula into the marketing of this palette except to say that it contains Cocoa Powder which they say is antioxidant rich. The proper chemical name of Cocoa Powder in the formula is ‘Theobroma Cacao Fruit Powder. Too Faced have accurately marketed the antioxidant properties of Cocoa Powder because Cocoa Powder is full of antioxidants such as Vitamin E that can protect the skin from external factors such as free radicals, which keeps the skin looking and feeling good. Cocoa Powder also gives the palette it’s chocolate smell and can help extend the shelf life of products by fighting off microorganism growth.

In regards to the physical aspect of the formula, all of the 9 shades are very soft, buttery, easy and smooth to apply. They hardly kick up and there is not much fall out. The shadows in the Peanut Butter palette are up to the high standard of the shadows in the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palettes which is really good. I really like the formula and performance of these shadows, they are so pigmented and blend out beautifully. The palette DOES NOT CONTAIN PEANUTS, it is just the theme of the shades.
Other than that, Phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative chemical and the formula is paraben free.
