PUR X Barbie Forever Glow Loose Highlighter Review/Description

The Forever Glow Illuminating Scented Body Powder is a loose highlighter that contains 23 grams - 0.81 ounces- of product. It has a shelf life of 12 months and is made in the USA.

The formula of the highlighter is really good. It is a loose highlighter so it can get messy but it is so pigmented that it doesn't matter. The consistency of the powder is very light, but not so light that you don't get pigment. Some loose highlighters kind of dust away and don't leave much colour, but the Forever Glow highlighter does. As the name suggests, it's marketed as a Body Highlighter, but you can use it anywhere. It works well on the cheeks, eyes, lips as well as on the body. It comes with a beautiful pink puff, making it easy to apply all over the body in one motion and it comes with a fair amount of product, meaning you will get a fair amount of use out of it. The price is also pretty fair taking into consideration it's a Barbie collaboration and the amount of product you get.

The powder is slightly scented, it's like kind of a coconut smell, but it isn't extremely strong and doesn't make you nauseated. I really don't like when makeup products have too strong a smell. The Too Faced Chocolate palettes are an example of a product that is so strong, they literally make me feel quite sick. The Forever Glow powder isn't like this and I actually like the scent. It's not too strong at all.

As with the entire collection, the Packaging is beautiful. The top of the highlighter is pink and sparkly with the Barbie tag in big letters. The rest of it is also pink and gold and has such beautiful, sparkly features. The actual box is kind of the paper type and not the plastic type, which is the only downfall about the Highlighter, although it's not really a downfall per sey, I just thought that it would be plastic packaging. The top isn't a twist it's one of those that you kind of jiggle up and down and lift off. Other than that, it is quite sturdy for the packaging component and I don't mind it at all. I just get a bit worried that after taking the lid off and on, that the paper like consistency of the packaging with start to lift up, so I make sure I am extra careful in that way. I do think of would of preferred it to be actual plastic just to ensure that it stays together for a long time regardless of how many times I open and close it. But again, if I knew this before I purchased I still would of got it and it's not that big of a deal. The inside of the highlighter has the shape of Barbie's head on it (see close up below), and it's a really pretty and nice touch to already amazing packaging.
