MAC Cosmetics Showstopper Powder Kiss Lipstick Set Description + Review

The MAC Cosmetics Frosted Firework Showstopper Powder Matte Lipstick Set contains 5 Lipsticks in the Powder Kiss Matte formula. Each Lipstick contains 3 grams- 0.10 ounces- of product, are Made In Italy and have a shelf life of 12 months.

The Powder Kiss Matte Lipstick formula is described by MAC as a matte-meets-moisture formula, meaning it is a cross between a full matte finish and a full moisture/hydrating finish. At first I thought that this formula was fully matte, I actually though it would be more like the Retro Matte formula, which is the most matte out of all of MAC's Lipstick formula's, but it is definitely more of a mixture. The consistency isn't really thick, it is pretty light and definitely doesn't have a super heavy feel like the creamy formula does. All of the lipsticks are fully opaque and apply to the lips fully pigmented. They are easy to apply and glide onto the lips nicely.

In regards to the shade selection in the Showstopper Set, they are not new shades but are instead the most popular shades from the permanent Powder Kiss Lipstick range. The difference is that they come in limited-edition packaging, and instead of the normal black packaging, the shade of the Lipstick is the colour that is on the outer packaging. The 5 Lipsticks come in a limited-edition, light pink stand and a pink, shimmery box.

Overall, I really love the MAC Frosted Firework Showstopper Powder Kiss Lipstick Set. I haven't tried the Powder Kiss formula until now and I had none of the shades in the range so I am happy that I got to try the favourite shades that come with the set. I find that the Powder Kiss Matte formula is a perfect mix between a Matte and a more Hydrating finish, and I love that they apply fully opaque to the lips. Of course, I love the limited-edition packaging. I love when MAC releases lipsticks that have the same colour on the outer packaging as the shade, and the set comes with a beautiful stand and I am a fan.
