Tarte Cosmetics have a new highlighting palette called the Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette Volume 2, and today I am going to be talking about and fully swatching it.

Tarte Skin Twinkle Palette Volume 2 Description/Review

The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette Volume 2 contains 4 different highlighting shades. Each shade has 5 grams (0.176 ounces) of product, giving the palette a total of 20 grams of product. It is made in the USA and has a 12 month shelf life.

The formula is really soft and buttery, glides on easily and is super pigmented. There is a lot of fall out and kick up of the highlighters but it’s so easy to wipe away and the pigmentation is reaaaal. I really like this palette and I love the pigmentation and finish. I will say, it’s very similar to the Tartiest Pro Glow Palette (link to review and swatch post below), so if you already have it you might not want this, and if you want this you won’t need the Pro Glow palette (unless you want both of course).

I do find this palette a little bit too expensive when there are so many other, cheaper palettes like this that work just as good, so I am going to show you some dupes at the end of the post.

The Balm Manizer Sister Highlighting Palette comes with 3 different highlighting shades – a shimmery white pearl shade (Mary-Lou), a shimmery pink shade (Cindy-Lou) and a shimmery bronze shade (Betty-Lou).

This palerre is similar to the Tarte Skin Twinkle Volume 2 and costs $31.80 AUD ($24.00 USD) compared to the $65.00 AUD ($49.04 USD) Tarte Palette and only contains 1 less shade.

The Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe and Light Palette is another cheap alternative to the Tarte Skin Twinkle Volume 2 Palette. It features the same champagne and white gold shades, along with a some other different shades.

The Strobe and Light Palette by Makeup Revolution costs $13.12 AUD ($10.03 USD), which is a massive difference compared to the $65.00 AUD ($49.04 USD) price tag of the Tarte palette,, and the products work just as good.
