Kylie Cosmetics Kyliner Kit Review + Swatches in Black

Kylie Cosmetics has a line of eyeliner kits and today, I am going to be talking about and swatching the Black one.

The Kyliner Kits are kits that come with 3 eyeliner products including….

1 x gel eyeliner,

1 x pencil eyeliner

1 x eyeliner brush

The Kyliner Kits come in 4 different colours – Black, Brown, Chameleon and Bronze– and each colour comes with the same products and costs $34.09 AUD – $26.00 USD each

I am going to go over each product in the kit individually and then at the end I will provide my overall thoughts on the Kyliner Kit!!

Kylie Cosmetics Gel Liner

The Kylie Cosmetics Gel Liner is a typical wax/gel liner that comes in a glass tube. It contains 4.00 grams (0.11 ounces) of product, has a shelf life of 18 months and is made in the USA.

The formula is the same as all gel liners- it is waxy and tacky and applies to the eyes so smoothly. The product is highly pigmented and easy to use. I have to say, I do love gel liner. Every time I apply liner with gel and a brush, I never make mistakes and end up with a smick ass line. I think this is because you are using a liner brush so you have WAY more control than you would with a normal liquid liner.

All in all, I love the Kylie Cosmetics Gel Liner.

Kylie Cosmetics Pencil Liner

The Kylie Cosmetics Pencil Liner is a creamy eyeliner pencil. It contains 1.2 grams (0.04 ounces) of product, has a shelf life of 18 months and is made in the USA.

The formula is just like her Lip Liners. It is creamy and not powdery and dry, it’s one of the newest, better types of liners. It is extremely pigmented but does get blunt easy. My pencil, and all of my ColourPop pencils (who has the same lab as Kylie), do this weird thing where the top of it gets loose and comes out. This means you cant sharpen it and to use it you have to legit tilt the product up until it comes to the top.

The pencil liner is a massive disappointment and breaks so easily. In saying this, you can deffo still use it but I would rather it not come out. I am not a big pencil liner user, especially not pigmented pencils like this because they are just way to intense, so it doesn’t worry me that much that this pencil is bad but if you are buying this kit solely for the pencil liner, you might want to consider buying from another brand that has the same creamy consistency as this.

Kylie Cosmetics Liner Brush

The Kylie Cosmetics Liner Brush is a synthetic brush that has a pointy side that is perfect for eyeliner application. There isn’t much to say about the brush except that it certainly get’s the job done and helps you draw such a precise line. It is a good quality brush that you will get so much use out of.

My Overall Thoughts on the Kylie Cosmetics Kyliner Kit

I absolutely love the Kylie Eyeliner Kit. It is just sooooooooo handy to get a gel liner and a liner brush in the same package/order. Normally, you would have to go and buy a seperate brush if you wanted to get a gel liner and even though that sounds like it’s easy which it is, it is just SO much more convenient to get it with the product. I don’t know why more companies don’t do this seeing as you actually need a liner brush to apply gel liner.

While I love the gel liner and the brush, I am not a fan of the pencil because I really will never use it. It is too pigmented and dark for me and I really do not like dark liner under my eyes, and you can’t draw a very nice line on the lash-line with the pencil. Also, the product comes loose and moves, so you can’t really sharpen it very good because it moves around everywhere.

All in all, I think this kit is deffo worth the money and I won’t have to buy any liner product for a long time. I will get a lot of use of it and because of that it is worth it to me!!
