Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette Swatches + Review

Kylie Cosmetics have a range of eyeshadow (Kyshadow) palettes and today, I am going to be talking about the Burgundy Palette. I will link my other Kylie Cosmetics post’s below.

First I will describe and review the palette and then I will go through the shades and swatches. As always links to my related posts and where to buy links will be at the end.

Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette Description/Review

The Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette contains 9 shades- 1 satin shade, 5 matte shades and 3 metallic/shimmer shades. Each shade contains 1.40 grams (0.05 ounces) of product, giving the palette a total of 12.6 grams (0.45 ounces) of product. The Palette is made in the USA and has a 24 month shelf life.

The formula is nice and pigmented. Each shadow glides on and blends easily and there is a bit of fall out but hardly any. I do like the quality of the shadows and I didn’t find any shades that I hated. The combination of shimmers/metallics and mattes means you can create a few different looks out of the palette, which makes it very versatile and you won’t need any other products to complete looks (unlike all shimmer palettes, which require use of mattes from other palettes).

The only thing you might need is some water, spray fix plus or glitter glue to wet the shadows to make them even more pigmented, especially in regards to the shimmers and metallics which don’t come up as metallic as they look (which is the case with MANY eyeshadows, you always need glitter or an adhesive for an extra pop).

All in all, I really like the Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette. The shades are absolutely beautiful and the quality of the shadows are nice. I do find it a tiny bit overpriced, but you have to remember you really are paying for the name in regards to Kylie Cosmetics.

Row 1 in Palette

Shade 1-Naked- White Champagne Gold Satin Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Golden Sand’ colour. Naked is a nice lid colour, but is more sheer than the other shades (which some people will like, and others might not).

Shade 2– Beach- Orange Brown Matte Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Light Warm Brown’ colour. Beach can be used on the lid, as well as a crease and transition shade.

Shade 3– Penny- Red Brown Matte Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Red Orange’ colour. Penny can be used on the lids and is also a beautiful crease shade.

Shade 4– LA- Gold Metallic Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘True Copper’ colour. LA is a beautiful finishing lid shade, that can be worn alone or over glitter adhesive to give it more of a pop on the eyes.

Shade 5– Burgundy- Raspberry Red Matte Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Bright Red Burgundy’ colour. Burgundy can be used both on the lid and in the crease.

Shade 6– Dubai- Raspberry Red Metallic Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Burgundy’ colour. Dubai is a beautiful finishing lid colour and can be used over glitter adhesive to create more of a bright pop of colour.

Shade 7– Brick- Red Brown Matte Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Dirty Brick’ colour. Brick can be used as a lid and crease shade. I particularly like it in the crease.

Shade 8– New York- Bronze Gold Metallic Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Warm Bronze’ colour. New York is a nice finishing lid shade.

Shade 9– Almond- Dark Brown Matte Shade that Kylie Cosmetics describes as a ‘Deep Red Brown’ colour. Almond can be used on the lid and on the crease.
