MAC Viva Glam X Taraji P.Henson Collection- Lipstick + Lipglass Review + Swatches

MAC Cosmetics have a collection called ‘Viva Glam’ where they collaborate with celebrities and well known people to create a limited edition collection. Today, I am going to be talking about and swatching the newest collection in the Viva Glam Range which is with Taraji P.Henson.

I will first describe the collection and then will move on to the swatches and swatch comparisons. After that I will tell you my overall thoughts on the collection and then will have links to my related posts and where to buy links.

Description of MAC x Taraji P.Henson Collection

The Viva Glam x Taraji P.Henson limited edition collection includes two lip products;

1 x Lipstick in an exclusive (limited edition) shade

1 x Lipglass in an exclusive (limited edition) shade

The MAC X Taraji P.Henson Viva Glam Lipstick costs $36.00 AUD ($17.00 USD) and the Lipglass costs $35.00 AUD ($17.00 USD) , together they cost $71.00 AUD ($34.00 USD) The collection can be purchased from MAC Online and I would say in-store, but I’m not 100% so contact your local MAC Store before you take a trip in. My local department store (David Jones) also has the collection in-stock, so I am sure other department stores will too.

All profit that is made of the Viva Glam Collections, including this one, is donated by MAC Cosmetics to an AIDS charity. MAC Cosmetics has donated all of the proceeds from Viva Glam Collections directly to this aids charity for years and years, and they are the leading cosmetic company involved with charities like this, so I think that’s cool and you have a justification for splurging, lol!!

MAC Cosmetics is also the only company I know that uses celebrity endorsement and hype to donate ALL proceeds to a charity that means most to them which I applaud them for.

The Viva Glam Taraji P.Henson Lipglass is a Shimmering Raspberry shade.

The Lipstick and Lipglass can be worn together, which creates a beautiful, bold glossy pink lip.

Overall Thoughts on MAC X Taraji P.Henson Viva Glam Collection

Overall, I love this collection. Unlike most of the Viva Glam Collections, which have plain type packaging, this one actually has different packaging . The bottles are both a pinky-red shade which is just like the actual shade of the products and I love the packaging.

I also really actually love the shades of the products and will wear them both alone and together. Some shades by MAC, especially in the limited edition collections, can be hit or miss so I am happy that both of the lip products are HITS.

All in all, I loveeeeee this collection and am so glad I got my hands on it!!
