MAC Liptensity Review + Swatch in Ambrosial

MAC Cosmetics recently released a new line of lipsticks called ‘Liptensity’ and today I am going to be talking about them.

The MAC Liptensity Lipsticks come with 3.6 grams (0.12 ounces) of product. They are made in the USA.
The formula and finish is creamy and glossy, it isn’t matte at all but stains the lips a bit. It is highly pigmented and feels comfortable on the lips.
The packaging of the Liptensity Lipsticks is beautiful. The lid of the lipstick is the same colour as the shade, and I really love when companies have colored lids like this . The lid has a metal like material. Inside the lipstick, the twisty bit is also the same colour as the shade. As I said, I really love the packaging of the Liptensity Lipsticks.
The issue I have with these are with the flat tips of the lipstick. The flat shape makes it soooo hard to apply the product precisely and I am certainly a fan of the pointed tip, not flat tip. The flat tip of this lipstick is good for the middle of the lips, but as you work your way to the ends of the lips you have to be really careful not to go out of the line.
You will need to line your lips to help you apply the lipstick precisely, which I dislike because I never really wear lip liner unless necessary because I tend to use the actual product/lipstick to line the lips.
I wanted to love these lipsticks because I love the packaging, but I would rather a normal lipstick, and for the price, it just isn’t worth it to get any more of them. The flat tip is a deal breaker for me. I normally wait to do reviews until I have a few shades to show, but I’m probably not going to get another one of these any time soon.
The MAC Liptensity Lipsticks cost $46.00 AUD ($21.00 USD) and can be purchased from MAC Online and In-Store, as well as in department stores.
