So in my first Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick post, I put too many images in it and it wont load. I cant even get into it to edit it, so I have trashed that post and I’m going to do it in parts now. I do have a full collaged with all shades at the end though

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick Description/Review

The Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick’s come in multiple shades. Each lipstick contains 5.4 grams (0.19 ounces) of product, is made in the USA and has a shelf life of 12 months.

The Velour Liquid Lipsticks have a thick consistency- the formula isn't a cream but it's also not a full liquid. It's like a cross between a cream and full liquid. What I have noticed is that when the lipstick is FULL the consistency is it really liquid-y but as it starts to run out, it becomes more creamy. I like it more when it has worn down a bit and is creamy because when the product is full it is more runny

Comparing these to the Huda Beauty Liquid Lipsticks, which lean more towards the runny, liquid side- the Velour LL are more of a cream.. There are all kinds of consistencies and all brands have their own. As I said, some are creamy and some are liquidy.

In regards to how long the lipsticks take to dry down, there really isn't much of a break,

Again, in comparison, because the Huda Beauty liquid lipstick is so runny and thick at the same time. The Huda LL takes .a long time to dry down, which can be highly annoying but also has benefits in regards to spreading it evenly over the lips before it dries.

These Velour LL are thick in consistency like the Huda Beauty ones are, but because the consistency isn't fully liquid , they dry down pretty quick.

It doesn't dry down toooooo quick, , but you should work slightly fast .because it will start to dry down immediately. This can be annoying when you are trying to spread it across the lips. because It dries and then you have to dip back into the product and layer it over the top. It then turns disgusting, clumpy and truly uncomfortable.

This liquid lipstick does not layer well, but most of them don't. It all depends on the drying time and the consistency of the formula.

I would say that the liquid lipstick's are easy to apply but i would be lying. I find them extremely different to work with simply because of the doe-foot applicator, which I will address in full below.

I feel like the lipsticks are consistent across the range for the most part,- aka they all have the same formula - so you have an idea of what you are getting if you have tried it before. However like every brand that sells liquid lipsticks, the really dark shades in the range can be streaky and not pretty. All of the light shades and medium-dark shades are perfect but the EXTREMELY dark shades are hard to work with, but of course it is do-able.

Longevity and Comfort

One thing that annoys me s this liquid lipstick ALWAYS wares off in the middle of the lips, so you are walking around with the colour all around your lips but not on the inside of the lips. It's difficult to explain but I will try and find a photo to show you what I mean. This doesn't happen with any other liquid lipstick I have tried just the JS one.

I will admit that I do like the JS Velour Liquid Lipsticks but they have never really been my favourite and I really don't use them much. The Kylie Cosmetics formula is slightly drier than this formula, bur I still prefer it. over this. i just don't love it.

Applicator Quality

Lets talk about this applicator... Shocking.

I hate the applicators in this lipstick and I believe they 100% ruin the lipstick. As you can see, they are really fluffy and don;'t have thick, compacted bristles.

One thing I hate about the Velour Liquid Lipsticks is the applicator (pic below). It is fluffy and soft and hard to line the lip’s with,. Compared to other brands, the applicator isn’t very good.Most liquid lipsticks act as lip liners, but not this one. I would recommend using a lip liner when wearing this product.
